Linn County (county code LN) is a county located in east-central Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 9,656.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/20/20107.html )〕 Its county seat is Mound City,〔(【引用サイトリンク】accessdate=2011-06-07 )〕 and its most populous city is Pleasanton. The county was named for Lewis F. Linn, a U.S. Senator from Missouri. Linn County is included in the Kansas City, MO-KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. ==Law and government== Following amendment to the Kansas Constitution in 1986, the county remained a prohibition, or "dry", county until 2004, when voters approved the sale of alcoholic liquor by the individual drink with a 30% food sales requirement.
